Glazier Yee is proud to announce its eastward expansion into the central United States.
Through its partners in St. Louis, Missouri and Houston, Texas, the firm has extended its reach to provide high-quality legal services to clients throughout the US.
Today, we invite you to get to know the firm’s newest partners Jarred Conforte and Scott Kossoudji.
Jarred Conforte
Jarred is the managing partner of Glazier Yee’s office in St. Louis, Missouri. Jarred’s representative experience includes advising Fortune 500 companies and small businesses engaged in the manufacturing of aerospace, cosmetic, HVAC, and metal products. Jarred also represents media clients, journalists, and individuals in First Amendment matters.
Jarred grew up in South Omaha, Nebraska. From an early age, Jarred and his family knew that he would become an attorney as Jarred had a knack for understanding not only the rules but also all exceptions to the rules and using such information to make persuasive arguments.
In 2003, Jarred moved to Missouri to attend Saint Louis University where he studied economics and mathematics, graduating magna cum laude. He took a liking to his adoptive city’s culture of blues, barbeque, and baseball.
Jarred then sought out his dream of attending law school in the nation’s capital, studying law at The American University, Washington College of Law. Active in the school’s top-rated clinical program, Jarred tried and won his first case as a law student, turning his success into a dean’s fellow position. Also while in law school, Jarred interned for the Clerk of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and worked as a summer associate at a Kansas City powerhouse law firm.
After graduating law school in 2010, Jarred was called to public service, moving back to Missouri and starting his legal practice as an Assistant Public Defender for the City of St. Louis. There, he honed his trial advocacy skills, trying dozens of jury and bench trials to verdict as first and second chair. Jarred considers his representation of indigent juvenile clients in the 22nd Judicial Circuit to be his most impactful work during this employment.
After leaving public practice in 2013, Jarred ventured to litigate in the civil, private practice arena. In 2017, he joined Glazier Yee as Of Counsel. Jarred’s dedication, hunger to learn and serve, and his tireless advocacy quickly earned him a partnership position in 2022.
Jarred relishes the competition of litigation, from crafting legal strategies to finding and developing the best expert witnesses. Jarred is admitted to practice law in state and federal courts in Missouri and California.
As a Chicano, he brings to his practice a culturally diverse perspective. Jarred serves as the firm’s Diversity Chair and advises the firm on issues, hiring, and participation in relevant initiatives, programs, and forums to promote diversity.
Scott Kossoudji
Scott is a native of Ohio who grew up in Colorado and who now calls Texas home.
Scott served as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician for 8 years in the U.S. Navy where he was tasked as part of a team to disarm and dispose of unexploded ordnance in Asia and the South Pacific. During his naval career, Scott also assisted the United States Secret Service during West Coast visits of U.S. Presidents and foreign dignitaries.
Today, he jokes that his time as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician likely was the best training he’s had for becoming a lawyer. The experience taught him the importance of attention to detail, operating individually and as part of a team, and maintaining a focused patience and calm throughout all stages of litigation planning and execution.
After his naval career, Scott moved back to Ohio where he attended The Ohio State University. Scott graduated summa cum laude from Ohio State in 1997. Scott then studied law at the Ohio State University and graduated with honors in 2000.
After graduating from law school, Scott began his legal career as a litigator with a large Ohio law firm, transferring to Texas upon the firm’s expansion to Houston.
Scott has practiced with Glazier Yee since 2018. He is admitted to practice law in state and federal courts in Texas.
Scott has nearly 20 years of trial experience, serving as lead trial counsel in dozens of cases. He has represented clients ranging from big box stores, national delivery companies, and manufacturers of aircraft and aircraft components involved in an array of litigation, including personal injury, product and premises liability, and contract disputes.
In his spare time, Scott is an endurance athlete. He has completed twelve Ironman Triathlons, events which consist of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bicycle ride, and a 26.2-mile run. He finds Ironman competition training to be “almost meditational,” as it serves to refuel his energy and refine his focus and concentration for all aspects of his life, including his legal work.
Jarred and Scott both are experienced litigators who are ready to assist clients in a wide variety of disputes. Contact us today for a free initial consultation for your matters in Texas and Missouri.
